All VENTED thermoplastic ball valves for sodium hypochlorite service in sizes 1/2" – 2” to be manufactured with PVC Type 1, Grade 1 (ASTM D1784, Cell Classification 12454) or CPVC (ASTM D1784, Cell Classification 23447). All sizes of shall be of true union design. Valve body shall have an integral top mounting flange with dimensions and bolt circles conforming to ISO 5211. Valve to include as standard a sliding lock-out plate that interlocks with integral flange on body for lock-out / tag-out, with four locations for attaching a padlock. Body shall incorporate molded in foot pad for panel or rail mounting. Valves to have a vented ball design with a vent hole drilled into one side to vent in the upstream direction. Balls must be full-port design and fully spherical on the sealing sides. Valves 2" and smaller shall have a floating ball and System2™ seat carrier design that moves with the seat to affect a double seal to flow through a closed valve, and require no adjustment. Sizes 2-1/2” through 6” shall have energized PTFE seats with backing O-ring as standard. All seats for shall be reversible to allow field rebuild. All o-rings shall be FPM only. Valves shall have a black color tee handle only for all vented ball valves for easy identification when installed. The handle shall be retained without any metal fasteners and made from black GFPP with UV Inhibitor. Stem shall contain double o-rings, and shall be blowout-proof design. Valve stem shall be designed to shear above the top stem o-ring groove, retaining the pressure retaining integrity of the valve in the unlikely event of a stem torsion failure. All 1/4" - 2" ball valves shall be pressure-rated for 250 PSI at 70°F non-shock. Sizes 2-1/2” – 4” valves shall be pressure rated for 235psi at 70°F non-shock. All sizes of ANSI 150 lb. flanged ball valves shall be pressure-rated for 150 PSI at 70°F non-shock. All PVC and CPVC valves to be NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 Listed. All ball valves shall carry a Global 3- Year warranty, and shall be manufactured by Hayward® Flow Control and in the USA.
