ABS is a versatile thermoplastic. It is a terpolymer that combines acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. Its' versatility is exhibited when it is easily combined with additives to give it different levels of impact strength, heat resistance and flame retarding properties. Overall ABS offers a good balance of tensile strength, abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, chemical resistance and surface hardness. ABS is available in a general purpose grade or machining grade. Machine grade available in plates or rods.
