Retention Systems Retention Systems
Adhesive/Tape -Seals expanding axially or radially in can be retained inside the groove channel by bonding the bottom of the seal to the channel, by applying an adhesive/glue or with the help of a double sided tape.Tight Fit -Seals expanding radially outwards can be retained within the groove by making them slightly smaller in length than the required length i.e. by under-sizing the seal. Due to the elastomeric properties of rubber, the undersized seal will stretch and tightly fit inside the groove channel. Engineers at Western Rubbers possess the expertise in deciding the proportion in which the seal should be undersized.
