TRANS-FG2K is a water-based, non-silicone, food-grade emulsion designed to control foam in aqueous food-canning processes where the presence of silicone is not desired or cannot be tolerated. TRANS-FG2K disperses readily when added to an aqueous system, yet possesses slight insolubility to control excessive foam. When used in sufficient but not excessive quantities, TRANS-FG2K should in no way alter the taste of food products.TRANS-FG2K contains only ingredients that are recognized by qualified experts as safe in food products according to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, part 173.340. It may therefore be used as a direct food additive. As a processing aid, TRANS-FG2K is considered a secondary direct food additive and imparts no functional attributes to the food. Consult the Code of Federal Regulations for further clarification on antifoam usage in your foodstuff.TRANS-FG2K utilizes only food-grade nonionic emulsifiers. The emulsion is stable and relatively long lasting; nevertheless, the product should be protected from freezing and prolonged exposure to direct sources of heat, moisture, and sunlight. It is acceptable to refrigerate TRANS-FG2K to extend its shelf life. Applied Material Solutions recommends that the product be used within six months, particularly for food-grade applications; however, when refrigerated TRANS-FG2K may be usable for a longer period of time. TRANS-FG2K is ultimately a perishable commodity, and should be afforded an equivalent level of care.

TRANS-FG2K antifoams are available in 55-Gallon (gal) blue poly drums and 5-Gallon (gal) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pails. By special request, the following packaging options are also available: bulk tanker, 275-Gallon (gal) totes, 55-Gallon (gal) lined openhead or tighthead steel drums, and 30 or 15-Gallon (gal) poly drums. Poly drums are blue unless specifically requested. Special requests may necessitate ordering in advance.
