TRANS-2112 is a proprietary, powdered, silicone antifoam designed to control foam in aqueous systems such as food processing applications and fermentations. TRANS-2112 utilizes only food-grade, nonionic components and contains only ingredients that are recognized by qualified experts as safe in food products according to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Part 173.340. It may therefore be safely used as a secondary direct food additive in an amount not to exceed 50 Parts per Million (ppm) residual TRANS-2112 remaining in the finished foodstuff. Please consult the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) for further clarification on antifoam usage in your particular food-grade application.

TRANS-2112 antifoam is stable and long lasting. The product should be stored in sealed containers in a dry environment, and at storage temperature of between 50ºF and 100ºF. TRANS-2112 antifoam should be used within twelve months from the date of purchase.
