The Ashland FLEXCRYLâ„¢ 165 High-Solids Acrylic Emulsion is a versatile solution for applications requiring polymeric adhesion promotion and pressure-sensitive properties. With a unique balance of good peel, very good dry tack, and moderate-shear properties, this acrylic copolymer maintains flexibility in low temperatures. Its excellent water resistance, resistance to UV radiation, and mechanical stability make it ideal for various film and foil laminations. Compatible with vinyl acetate polymers, it can be tailored to modify adhesion levels, dry tack, and cohesiveness.

Product Specifications
Applications Applications
FLEXCRYL⢠165 emulsion is a polymeric adhesion promoter useful in the lamination of various films and foils to cellulosic surfaces. Adhesion to PET film and aluminum foil is improved with FLEXCRYL⢠165 emulsion. In addition, FLEXCRYL⢠165 emulsion is a versatile pressure-sensitive adhesive. This emulsion is readily tackified by a wide range of tackifier dispersions, mainly rosin-based materials. Through such tackifying, improvements in tack and adhesion to low-energy surfaces, such as polyolefins, can be obtained.
Compounding Compounding
FLEXCRYL⢠165 emulsion is compatible with most vinyl acetate homopolymers and copolymers. Care should be taken in some systems due to the high solids content of FLEXCRYL⢠165 emulsion. It can be blended to vary levels of adhesion, dry tack and cohesiveness.
