The Boron Carbide Hot-Pressed Sheet with 7.2mm thickness and 80.8 x 101.6mm size offers exceptional chemical resistance, high hardness (2800 to 3500 Kgf mm-2), and impressive compressive strength (1400 to 3400 MPa). Its low density, high thermal conductivity, and resistance to high temperatures make it ideal for ballistic and neutron-absorbing applications. This sheet meets stringent industry standards and is a reliable choice for demanding environments.

Material Material
Boron Carbide - Hot-pressedAfter Diamond, Cubic Boron Nitride and Boron Oxide, Hot pressed Boron Carbide has the highest hardness known. Its main applications make use of its excellent wear resistance and high strength. It has a low density but a high elastic modulus and high compressive strength, which leads to its use as a ballistic material. 20% of natural boron is the 10B isotope, giving Boron Carbide a high neutron capture cross section. It is therefore used in neutron-absorbing applications, such as shielding. Boron carbide has good resistance to acids but not to alkali hydroxide melts.

CeramicCeramics are non-metallic, non-organic materials. They exhibit excellent resistance to high temperatures. Although they have comparatively low densities, they are extremely hard but tend to be brittle. They show good resistance to both abrasives and chemicals.
