Our High Lift Flange Weld Test Plug lets you monitor downstream conditions, isolate and purge the weld area, perform the weld, and hydro test weld joint to ANSI B16.5 requirements using only one tool. No blind flanging upstream, no vacuum truck for evacuating the line, and no X-raying. Just a simple, rock-solid tool that saves time and money every time you use it. Each test requires a minimum amount of water and there's no need to fill the entire line. You'll use less water and minimize your environmental liabilities.

Maximum head pressures that a pipe plug may hold back can only be estimated. Pressures are influenced by many factors including fluid and debris in the pipeline, type and condition of pipe, tightness of plug seal, and temperature. Plugs should always be inserted fully into pipeline and should be mechanically blocked when slippage could cause property damage or injury. NEVER use a test pressure greater than the capacity of the weakest pipe or component in the system. NEVER use a mechanical plug when its failure could cause injury.

Seal-to-pipe clearance: approximately 1/2". Clearance may be slightly smaller on plugs that accommodate more than one schedule size. Replacement washers: required on all schedule sizes except for the smallest ID for each size pipe.External O-ring: included on 10" and 12" seals.Other flange class ratings and pipe schedules available upon request.Ordering information needed: flange size and rating, pipe ID or schedule, and test pressure.
