Elkem Silicones Bluesilâ¢ product line can be formulated into water based or solvent based car care products. Shine and durability are a direct function of the viscosity of the polydimethylsiloxane silicone oil used. Amino-functional silicones offer the added advantage of increased durability and detergent resistance. Typical tire shine formulations use 5 to 15% total silicone.
