The Heavy Duty Box - HD6000 Type is a rugged surface-mounting box constructed from durable cast aluminum, designed to withstand the most severe weather conditions and submersion services. With heavy-walled construction and wide flanges for a weathertight seal, this box is ideal for installations in flooded manholes, docks, piers, and sub-stations. Featuring neoprene type packing for a secure gasket, steel cap screws for protection, and mounting lugs for easy installation, this box ensures reliability even under high water pressure. Suitable for hazardous locations, it meets Class II, Groups E, F, and G standards with optional Vellumoid gasket and bossed conduit entrances. Upgrade to cast aluminum by adding 'AL' to the part number.
