The Heavy Duty Checkered Cover Sidewalk Box, Type H5800, is expertly designed for durability and safety. Constructed with cast iron and hot-dipped galvanized for long-lasting performance. Its cross-ribbed checkered cover is non-slip, ideal for heavy pedestrian traffic in sidewalks, bridges, dams, and airports. Featuring a flush mounting design with a neoprene gasket and stainless steel fastenings, this box ensures secure installation and easy maintenance. Interchangeable flanges and covers, along with pry bar notches for lifting, offer convenience and flexibility. For added protection against truck traffic, galvanized checkered covers are available for H20 loading. Upgrade to cast aluminum by specifying 'AL' at the end of the part number for lighter alternatives.
