The Heavy-Duty H5800 Checkered Cover Sidewalk Box is designed for robust performance in high-traffic pedestrian areas like bridges, dams, and airports. Constructed from cast iron and hot-dipped galvanized, this box features a cross-ribbed non-slip cover flush with finished concrete. With a neoprene gasket and stainless steel fastenings, it meets NEMA 4 and NEMA 3R standards. The interchangeable flanges and covers allow easy maintenance without disrupting the conduit system. For added durability against truck traffic, galvanized checkered covers are available for H20 loading. Upgrade to aluminum construction by adding 'AL' to the part number.
