Programmable battery charging equipment for facility energy storage application. Supports a wide range of battery power levels and battery chemistries.Designed and built in the USA, the BCE20K provides automatically controlled, high performance battery charger and discharger functions.The BCE20K is designed for EV, transport and facility energy storage applications, programmable for multiple battery chemistries with selectable charge profiles for Lead-Acid, NiCad, NiMH and Li-Ion battery types. This high frequency charger uses software-defined profiles to optimize the charge cycle for different battery types.The BCE20K implements PLC controlled charging algorithms to perform closed loop charging while monitoring the charge cycle time, battery charging current, voltage and temperature. The PLC HMI provides operator data entry and status monitoring.The DC-DC discharger converter and high power load provide controlled discharge of the battery stack while the PLC provides precise control of the battery current and voltage discharge profile.The internal PLC controls all operating functions and provides timing, status display, built in diagnostics, fault protection and safety features for the charging and discharging operations. The BCE20K supports batteries from 12V to 96V, up to 150 Amps.
