Material Material
Aluminum NitrideThis material has a high electrical resistivity and thermal conductivity. It is therefore suited to the high performance electronic industry, for such applications as integrated circuit packages and heat sinks. Compared with Beryllia in such applications, it is non-toxic and has about half the thermal expansion coefficient. It is translucent to infrared and visible wavelengths (0.5 to 3 µm), and can be used as window material for infrared and radar. It has a high purity and can be used as crucible material for molten metals at high temperatures.

Type Type
CeramicCeramics are non-metallic, non-organic materials. They exhibit excellent resistance to high temperatures. Although they have comparatively low densities, they are extremely hard but tend to be brittle. They show good resistance to both abrasives and chemicals.
