The Mefiag® Series CR PVDF Chromic Acid Horizontal Disc Filtration Systems are expertly designed for plating tanks ranging from 400 to 1,000 gallons. Featuring solid PVDF construction and a PVDF magnetic drive pump, these units excel in environments where chromic acid is utilized. With a filtering capacity of 1,600 gph and a filtration surface area of 16 ft², these systems offer high efficiency and reliability. The unitized pack/cover design allows for easy maintenance, while the reusable filter media ensures cost-effectiveness. Operating temperatures up to 190°F make them ideal for a variety of applications, including hard chromium and etching processes.

Filter Filter
The filter chamber is constructed of solid PVDF with bottom inlet and bottom discharge.Stainless steel eyebolts with hand wheels hold the powder coated steel cover in place. An air release diaphragm valve is provided.A stainless steel pressure gauge (0-60 PSI) is supplied with a corrosion resistant guard.Base is PVC with stainless steel channel support structure and PVC feet. Casters are available upon request.
Filter Pack Easily Maintained Filter Pack Easily Maintained
All filter discs are attached to the filter cover to allow easy removal for maintenance. The unique cover design on all models converts into a filter pack stand when the pack is removed. Reusable polyester filter media is standard with optional PVDF media available.
Pvdf Pump Options Pvdf Pump Options
A PVDF magnetic drive pump Model KM is furnished with a 1HP TEFC motor. PVDF mechanical seal pump or self-priming PVDF magnetic drive pump available. High purity silicon carbide bearings and Viton O-rings are standard on magnetic drive pumps. Silicon carbide with Viton O-ring provided with mechanical seal pump. The NEMA 4x motor starter is housed in a liquid tight enclosure.
