The amount of REXTER 581 required for each special use should be determined by experimentation given the wide variety of factors involved in foam formation and its stability. A good starting point dose would be from 0.05 to 0.1% REXTER 581 based on weight on the total weight or volume of solution or water in the system where the foam is to be controlled. Subsequently, it is advisable to reduce this concentration until the reasonable minimum is determined.
