Standard Features Alternator
The system automatically switches which pump will be the lead pump each time regardless of whether or not the second pump started.
Standard Features Automatic Time Delay
The control system incorporates a built-in time delay that automatically starts the second compressor after 2.5 to 7.5 minutes (easily user-adjusted) after the first pump starts. This feature starts the second pump regardless of whether the second (dive) pressure switch is closed. This avoids problems of many alternating systems where the pressure drops below the first pressure switch but never reaches below the second switch, while, at the same time, one pump will not "catch up", and this in turn runs the one compressor to death while the other unit sits idle.
Standard Features Dive Feature
A second pressure switch is incorporated into the system that will override the time delay if the system reaches too low a pressure. Whenever the second pressure switch closes, the second pump will immediately start rather than wait for the preset time delay.
Standard Features Hand Off Auto Control
This switch mounted on the cover of the panel allows the user to remove the control panel from the system. In the "Auto" mode, the panel is activated and operates per its design specifications. The "Off" mode turns the entire system off and can be used to shut down both compressors- In the "Hand" mode, both compressors will start when either one pressure switch or the other pressure switch is closed. This way, one unit may be shut down for service and the other can operate as if it were the only unit.
Standard Features Start Delay
The control system will in no way allow the two pumps to start within 10 seconds of each other. This will help supply the most power to each motor while starting and prevent cost high peak loads.
