With both conveyors having the low profile design, this technique provides the shortest ballistic transfer gap and can therefore handle the small product of any ballistic transfer configuration. This transfer has a slightly higher cost due to the use of the low profile idler.Products as small as six inches (152.4 mm) may be transferred.When using a low profile idler, conveyor speed in general is limited to 150 ft/min (45-72 m/min).
