The SpanTech Outrunner Spiral Belt Conveyors offer a cost-effective solution for elevating products efficiently while optimizing floor space. Featuring an extremely configurable design with variable height, diameter, and angles, these conveyors are ideal for cooling, curing, dwell times, and elevating applications. With safety in mind, the catenary-free design ensures a secure operation. The max incline angle of 25° and decline angle of 4° provide flexibility in operations. Designed for smooth acceleration and deceleration, these conveyors come with essential features like moving side guides and torque limiters to prevent overtorque conditions.

All Outrunner Spirals must have a controlled stop/start sequence (smooth acceleration/deceleration) to prevent chain from crowding into the Outrunner Drive sprocket.All Outrunner Spirals must be designed with Pillow Top or SuperTight 6 mm or 30 mm moving side guides on the sides where it is driven by the Outrunner sprockets. In addition, the opposite side of the chain should also be supplied with a moving side guide unless a side by side transfer is required.Outrunner Spirals are intended to add dwell time to a product flow, but are not intended to be accumulation devices (holding product while the spiral runs).Outrunner Spirals will NOT maintain product orientation.A torque limiter between the gearmotor and the primary sprocket is required and this torque limiter must have an accompanying proximity sensor to tell the PLC or VFD to stop the spiral in case of an overtorque condition.
