The SPECTEC 5/8 KL and KS Type Magnetic Variable Reluctance Speed Sensor is a part of the high-performance specialty sensor line. These rugged, versatile sensors feature a wide range of DC coil resistances, inductance values, and peak-to-peak output voltages to meet diverse application needs. With options like an integral temperature sensor and various pole types, they offer flexibility and reliability for industrial usage. Constructed with 303/304 Stainless Steel and solid epoxy encapsulation, these sensors are durable and precise, making them ideal for government and institutional procurement requirements.

High temperature and cryogenic versions can be used in temperatures from -268°C to +232°C (-450°F to +450°F). Extreme temperature versions can be special ordered for temperatures up to 450°C (850°F).Intrinsically Safe and Explosion/Flame Proof versions are also available for Hazardous Locations. The output of this sensor can be converted to a digital signal with a Signal Amplifier. This sensor type can typically be replaced by an Amplified Variable Reluctance Speed Sensor or Hall Effect.

The standard pole for each model is defined above. If an alternate pole is needed, it should be added as a suffix to the part number, e.g. 0014-xx-ep93 designating an extended pole of ø.093. The standard pole (defined above) will not have a suffix.The magnetization level for special or low magnetic drag sensors, is called out as a suffix to the part number, e.g. 0014-xx-300g designating a gauss level of 300. (after alternate pole) (standard magnetic level (up to 1200g) will not have a suffix.)
