The SYZR Series Expandable Graphite for Fire Retardant Circle is a versatile material derived from natural graphite ore treated with sulfuric acid. This flame retardant additive offers exceptional benefits, including non-toxic gas emissions, reduced heat release, halogen-free composition, and low smoke production. With a high purity level of ≥92% and an expansion volume of ≥250 ml/g at an expansion temperature of 180°C, this expandable graphite provides superior fire protection properties. Ideal for polyurethanes, coatings, and polymers, it can be combined with other flame retardants for enhanced performance.

ADT Expandable Graphite is a material based on natural graphite ore. The ore is treated with sulfuric acid in what is called an intercalation process. The material is washed and neutralized to prevent corrosion of metal parts when processed by the user. Excessive shear should be avoided. ADT Expandable Graphite additives may be used in polyurethanes, sealants, coatings, and polymers.ADT Expandable Graphite additives may also be used in conjunction with other flame retardant additives to provide improved flame retardant Properties to a material.This halogen-free flame retardant has a wide range of expansion temperature and can be used for foams, paints, resins, rubber and more.Expandable Graphite is a stratiform graphite and contains acids between each stratums. Once it’s heated, acid generates gas and stratiforms are expanded. This expanded stable structure puts off a fire by cutting off the supply of air. (LOI is 28 by adding 15% in Polypropylene)
