The SYZR Series Expandable Graphite is a cutting-edge flame retardant additive derived from natural graphite ore. With a purity level of ≥90%, this expandable graphite offers superior fire safety attributes including non-dripping, halogen-free composition, low smoke emission, reduced heat release, insulating properties, and lower production of toxic gases. Expandable at 180 ºC with an expansion volume of ≥230 ml/g, it provides a stable non-flammable layer when heated. Ideal for polyurethanes, coatings, sealants, and polymers, this product enhances flame retardant properties and can be combined with other additives for enhanced fire safety.

ADT Expandable Graphite is a material based on natural graphite ore. The ore is treated with sulfuric acid in what is called an intercalation process. The material is washed and neutralized to prevent corrosion of metal parts when processed by the user. Excessive shear should be avoided. ADT Expandable Graphite additives may be used in polyurethanes, sealants, coatings, and polymers.ADT Expandable Graphite additives may also be used in conjunction with other flame retardant additives to provide improved flame retardant Properties to a material.This halogen-free flame retardant has a wide range of expansion temperature and can be used for foams, paints, resins, rubber and more.Expandable Graphite is a stratiform graphite and contains acids between each stratums. Once it’s heated, acid generates gas and stratiforms are expanded. This expanded stable structure puts off a fire by cutting off the supply of air. (LOI is 28 by adding 15% in Polypropylene)
