THERMOSEAL® M22 Dry Moldable is a high-temperature resistant refractory material ideal for cathode bar sealing, molten aluminum transfer trough linings, furnace repair, and fireplace applications. With a use temperature limit of 1260 ºC | 2300 ºF, this dry mix offers superior wet density and fired density, easy application, and durable fired silica and alumina composition. Custom formulations available. Shelf stable for up to 12 months.

THERMOSEAL® M22 Dry Moldable can be applied with the fingers, trowels, or spatulas, and is easily formed to any contour or readily pressed into cracks and smoothed out. Water wet the tool to facilitate smoothing and contouring. Drying consists of removing the liquid portion of the mix usually by use of anexternal heat source at 200 - 220°F 93 - 104°C for approximately six hopurs per inch of thickness.

Preparation Preparation
THERMOSEAL® M22 DRY MOLDABLE can be custom formulated to meet specific application criteria. Mix with water in a ratio of one part dry moldable to two parts water in weight, and agitating until the consistency resembles smooth putty. Small batches can be mixed by hand, however a cement or paddle mixer is recommended for large batches. Overmixing is not recommended.
